I tried and failed to find a builder, roofer, boiler repair, chimney sweep amongst many. I was struck by just how many businesses did not have an online presence in West Wales.
I, like many others got a bit bored of my typical 9-5 and decided to teach myself to code over the past two years. I did this to challenge myself and of course, design websites.
When I began designing and building websites for others though I was shocked by just how much digital agencies would charge for building, what is considered to be a simple website. It became obvious in 2023 that a lot of small businesses were struggling and didn't have the funds to spend thousands on massive digital media agencies for a website. Most service businesses only need 1-5 pages of a quality website to generate more organic customer growth.
This is why I decided to offer my services on a monthly subscription model. If you only need 1 page stating your business name, what you do and how to contact you, then it will only cost you £600 per year! This means that businesses do not suffer cash-flow issues, and find £50 a month much more manageable than laying out £1000-£3000 for the same thing. Unlike a big agency I have little to no overheads beyond an internet subscription!
